Shaftel Diamond Co., a
family run, father and son business was founded in 1978 by Keith Shaftel as an
importer and wholesale distributor of loose diamonds and gold chain. In August
of 1999 Mr. Shaftel was recruited by pioneering e-tailer, Ashford.com to create,
manage and buy for their Diamond Division. They soon to become the first
publicly traded online diamond and jewelry e-tailer. During his tenure there,
the company earned a solid reputation in the international diamond community.
Shaftel Diamond continues to supply the diamond and jewelry trade, but has added
a full line of services to better accommodate the individual consumer as well.
In
the fall of 2003, Shaftel Diamond opened their full service, open to the public
showroom on the ground floor of Houston's premier diamond and jewelry building
on Richmond Ave. in the famed Houston Galleria area. The store boasts a
formidable inventory of certified diamonds and colored stones, as well as a
beautiful selection of bridal and anniversary jewelry, diamond earrings,
pendants, bracelets and necklaces. We also have an on premise design team and
full manufacturing facilities.
